What is Visa on Arrival?

Visa on arrival, as the term suggests, is issued upon arrival in specific countries. With visa on arrival, the traveller is not required to apply for the visa beforehand as it will be given at the airport. Government authorities generally examine the visitor’s passport and may collect any applicable fees before issuing the documentation.

Additionally, several nations use biometrics to verify visitors’ identities and look up information like criminal and immigration records. The traveller’s passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival and must have sufficient blank pages for immigration stamps. The visa stamp, just like a regular visa, will be printed on the passport.
